If you've been with he company for 10 years you will be eligible to qualify for the program if your age + years of service = 65. You will have a termination date and I think they pay 26 weeks. If you waive this and you're laid off, you will get severance of one week's salary for the number of years you've worked there. Basically damned if you do sign and damned if you don't!
Sounds like a way for the company to not have to pay unemployment benefits.
Great question? i would like to learn the same
