What are your thoughts on the newly formed Staples Depot Max! Does this make sense to you? How will this affect layoffs?

Slashing more jobs across the country making more happen by screwing over the American worker.
I'll still order my supplies at Amazon.com or go to Walmart before I walk into a Staples again. I am glad W.B. Mason exists because at least they have a chance to out sell Staples Office Max or what ever this crap company is going to be called.
I know of trainers who were already laid off in December. Nobody is safe, 'cept for Sargent and his closest buddies.

I see more layoffs with internal duplicated positions.. managers, administrative assistants, sales teams etc.
Eliminating competitors is always a good thing. However there is typically overlap in stores and home office functions.
Nothing changes for about 6 months
