Large numbers of senior engineers in the XD / XA product group are affected. The net effect for customers will be no progress for the next two years. Isn't it strange that the product architect Ken Bell recently and suddenly moved to the NetScaler team? Maybe just coincidence. Good Luck to all of those affected. Try and use your achievements at Citrix to get a better job!

Ken Bell should be fired... He is the reason why this is all happening and why Citrix's bread and butter product is in the crapper. His mantra... let's kill any product, acquired company or good idea that is not his idea.
Riz was pushed out a while ago. He latched onto the whole TAAS thing. With all the TRM and support cuts it is clear there is a big push to be proactive with automated support. It can only get you so far though.
Seriously, some of the top devs in the UK that wrote XD were told yesterday that they will have to fight for survival. If all these guys go, the knowledge loss alone will take a long time to recover from.
They gutted on-premise XA/XD. Welcome to cloudification and saasification.
Riz hasn't been XA for years. Not since the last restructuring. I dont know what he's doing, but its not XD.
Riz is still around?! No F"ing way!!!
I'm really surprised about the XA/XD stuff. Gutting the product that MADE Citrix... I expected them to merge more XA/XD, but this is crazy. IMHO, the mobile stuff is just a fad. It has it's place but not at the volume of desktop products. One CANNOT run a business off of a cell phone or tablet--at least, not the majority of the "real" workers in any company. I'd love to see accountants and data entry people use a tablet. Many of them would use a 10-key adding machine if you let them--it's faster and more efficient. I saw some HUGE mistakes made today. HUGE.
Nah, I saw the people affected...they needed to go.
Riz survived I hear
with microsoft bleeding market share to IOS/Android this is not a surprise. been on the wall since XenMobile launch
was a massacre in XenDesktop/XenApp today. Not sure how the product can continue if everyone who was informed has to leave, there is barely a skeleton crew of test left in the UK even some top developers got the push.
nothing that can't be outsourced, right riz?
I am confirming this, some seriously good talent was lost today
There is no coincidence here
