After staring an Excel comparison sheet in the severance package, I just figured out how BHI chose the names for this mass layoff. There is an Excel file, which shows only Employee numbers, birth dates, grades, levels, and the hidden column for total benefit (includes based salary, pension, 401K matching. This column was not included in your sheet in the package, of course). 'Someone' set criteria on the benefit range, when comparing the same grade/level in the same group. Then, 'someone' did the Excel formula to set that range, and automatically chose out 'selected' or 'not selected' (as shown in your sheet's last column). The person/people who set the criteria is totally different to the person who worked on the excel file. The person who worked on the excel file is innocent too, because there is no name shown on the file (only Employee numbers). After he selected the lost souls, he submitted to the 'requester'. So, technically, your direct manager or his/her boss really had no control on who were in the black list. That was why you guys saw a lot of good hardworking people were let go, because the person who set the criteria was only on $$$$$ factor. Too bad! It's all like the Chess game. We are just the little pawns.
Today = carnage. I'm pouring one (or several) for my fallen homies. Stay strong. - "That which does not kill you..."
I'm done too. They were swinging the axe very freely today. A lot of great people and friends are out of work today.
Same here I was laid off today as well. Praying for everyone and their families. Have heard a lot of people hardworking people in Engineering were let go today.
2 of my team including me are now hacine a good time at home, i was layoff today from CTI good luck to all, the y talk about 100 layoff in diferente áreas, for now i'm enjoy a nice movie....the layoff process take 10 minutes fin dan otter job who know's.....
