Teachers..... No enrollments means you are not needed and will also be termed

Payroll won't bog them down...they simply will gut the enrollment department to a minimum that will meet their goals. Also remember, this deal isn't actually required to work...it was designed to simply shut down CCI. That is happening. Don't think for a moment the DOE didn't give them a sweetheart deal to buy the campuses now for a big favor later. I would still be looking for a new job if I were you.
It won't last and they will be back pissing quickly
Yup, good point 815. Corinthian had an aggressive, high pressure, low integrity sales model that was required to get every enrollment and they still couldn't make money in the last few years. And there is competition for those students from other for-profits in the same demographic that will use aggressive tactics. They'll need to enroll more students under much tighter regulatory scrutiny than their for-profit peers. They are going to be pissing cash immediately even though they purchased these schools for a screaming deal. Plus they are saying they'll cap enrollments. We'll see how long that lasts when payroll bogs them down.
They are debt collectors in bed with the DOE.
They aren't victims, just stupid, arrogant predatory debt collectors
808: Yes. ECMC is taking a huge gamble, apparently without understanding the underlying market dynamics (fewer interested/qualified students, too many career colleges). While the shady admissions tactics we used are indefensible, the supply and demand issue explains, in part, why we used such tactics. ECMC is bringing a knife to a gun fight, and will be hard-pressed to succeed, especially under a much brighter regulatory spotlight.
Victims of stupidity?
OP: Neither. They will be victims.
They are the only morons to have done the deal.
