Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Yes, it is a rumor mill. But it is all we got.

So, i wonder if HAL will continue with the Baker weekly rig count? It becomes the Halliburton rig count. Finally, they will get some traffic to that website. Any of you Integration Team members out there have any knowledge about that? The content of these pages is assuredly based on here say and personal opinion, but somewhere in there is a small grain of a fact to hang on to. Or, go ask your manager, i'm sure they are in the loop and can separate fact from fiction. -

My manager is more clueless than I am. He's not even aware we are posting things here. Even if he knew, he would not tell me. I learn more here in 5 minutes than I would learn talking to 100 managers for hours. They hog information, they filter information, they purposely keep you in dark so they control you better. I say, it's OK, that's fine, it's all business. At the same time, I also realize it's 2015 and that things are changing now, you cannot stop information flowing, there are boards on Facebook, people are tweeting, so really, it'll get out there somehow. So, I fill my manager in.

I say where there is some Fire...

May only be a small fire... But it is what it is.

Any kind of info will help.

Hell, it's more than you will get from any Supervisor that's for sure!

There are many bits on this site that proved true. A lot of noise, but some good bits too.
