All services companies are hit hard, HAL, Weatherford, Baker, SLB - all of them are bleeding resources, thousands and thousands of people. We will have layoffs as well, nobody knows how much and when and where.

More layoffs today
Not fair and balanced with who the lay off
If you are in the executive wing it seems that you will not be cut even if you have no workload
Or if you are in "special" relations
them and are young and open to the freak show they like to have out of town
No respect for the long term good employees and this is a shame
More small layoffs in beginning of July with a large one coming later in month of July 2015. If you are over age 50 and work there, you have a target on your back. Definitely age discrimination going on at this place. The 4 and 5 star ratings for working at this place is a JOKE!!!! CEO must sit there and write up 5 star ratings all day because if you work there you know it isn't true. It is a sweat shop totally disorganized and years behind in management skills.

Layoffs occurred in the BOP Controls group on Tuesday, May 12th. Outside Sales group eliminated. Engineering cut to an unsustainable level. Looks like Oceaneering's about to unload it's BOP group...probably to Cameron, GE or NOV.
Been working offshore Africa over 3 years. Never missed a flight, never missed a hitch, worked extra when asked. Went home for rotation, as time to return neared my flight was canceled, no explanation, no return of emails. Two weeks later they tell me I'm being assigned elsewhere do to local quota laws. 2 weeks after that I get a phone call, you're being let go along with many others due to downturn in oil production. Was told I'm welcome back when things pick up next year. They could have told me sooner so I could plan.
They have been laying off even guys who were with there company a long time. My father was with them 26 long years working on average 300 days out the year. He was repayed by a phone call saying he could retire or be terminated even with 0 write ups. This company does not care about it's people. I also worked with them 3 years myself but got out while I was ahead. You are simply a number on a piece of paper, your families or health do not factor in to there buisness. They want young guys that swap parts that are out of college ready to do paperwork. This is not the Oceaneering I grew up respecting. If you want a job where you need to watch your back 24/7 this is it. Horrible management poor people skills. Your just a number
Laid off more personnel in BOP Section in Houston in March 2015 after laying off around 50 in Houston in October.
What locations and how many?
