Are you sure about the 23000? I heard that would be around the number the joint Halli/Baker would need to shed post merger, which would go when parts were sold off. Baker would not be able to do business if 1/3 were cut.
33% or 23,000 - that's simply nuts!!! Cannot believe it...

7000 is only the figure for the first quarter. Overall the figure before the merger is completed is 23000 worldwide. Got this info from a senior manager. Congo will start letting go on monday. GOM has already started to let go and HR and m'gt are in meetings everyday. Take your vacation while you still have it.
