Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Reporter looking for help

We are producing a series of radio stories about people affected--positively and negatively--by lower oil prices. If you or someone you know has an interesting story to tell that would help outsiders better understand what's happening, please contact me at jbrady@npr.org or 202-513-3414.

I'd eat shit BEFORE I would speak to ANYONE from the LYING, LIBERAL, ELITIST, SEWAGE of the MEDIA, who would only take what I had said and twist it around as to be totally unrecognizable.

The SEWAGE of the MEDIA are useless cretins, who actually believe that their bottom of the barrel 'education' in journalism, has qualified them to pass themselves off as being "EXPERTS ON EVERYTHING".

They have nothing but thinly disguised contempt for those of us who have actually worked for a living and contributed something useful, and gained satisfaction from what we have, or had done.

What story do you want, the HAL way of layoff?

People are called to a secret HR office and are asked if they have their car key, personal cell phone, and wallet with them. If no, the manager is going to get it for them. If yes ---- congratulations! You are officially laid off! The security guy will take you to your car at the garage and see you driving out. If you were taking the shuttle, ok they'll call you a cab. One week later your other stuff left in the office will be delivered to your door ---- if you still live there.
