Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Part time hours cut?

Reddit has several threads going about Staples cutting part time associates hour again, this time from 25 to 20 hours per week. Any one heard anything concrete about this?

From what I've read on reddit, its really only a regional thing effecting the Mid-Atlantic (MD,DE,NJ,PA, etc). But yes, the 25 hour rule has been more stringently enforced. I've been thrown out by my GM twice because I was going to go over.

ENFORCED! Our store manager was written up 3 weeks ago for an employee going over 25 hours by 12 minutes

Maybe a February 1st type of deal?

Odd my store hasn't posted next weeks schedule yet.

I've heard this, but my store is still at 25 hours for PT employees. Although it does seem to be more strongly enforced suddenly...
