Spot on comment. Just another deceptive practice for an unethical corporate entity. Too bad you didn't use more focus on company strategy as opposed to delayed knee jerk reactive. Amazing what happens once no longer public and not having to report to the SEC. Ps SUO's read is another poser hiding behind a shirt and tie veil of credibility
They are letting more people go than they are reporting. They are just doing it quietly over a wide area and across the brands. They evade layoff reporting requirements that way. That is in addition to the people who are already getting out and the positions aren't being replaced. This site would be helpful if it logged a rolling count of who is leaving where.
There is no severance in Virginia. It is a right to work state. So when they let you go, you are gone. The head count for AIW was...one in the registrars office, now just the registrar is left...with the remote registrar his days are numbered. Two in accounting...only one left in accounting, gen ed instructor, office manager quit because hubs was riffed (registrars office) the rest of the 11 were faculty...so 12 including the resignation.
Twiddle dum you poser...phoenix settled not like edmc defer defer kick the can you twit...know all the facts not just one spin you moron...yup you are in managament
We also realize that the Staples Center in LA hosts Lakers, Kings and Clippers - Staples as a company is in a meltdown mode, they are spiraling down fast and have a very lively board on this site. If your memory serves you well there was a ton of companies that demonstrated financial recklessness by paying for naming stadiums - remember Enron Field (Astros), Adelphia Coliseum (Titans), MCI Center (Wizards), Wachovia Center (76ers)? They all went bankrupt... Warren Buffet says it's one of the warning signs indicating that financial discipline is not as tight as it should be.
U do realize Univ. of Phoenix has an NFL stadium named after them...where the super bowl is being held, right? They have anything but "sank." Get your facts straight you stupid twits.
Read n head...any real peeps that know the facts (true history not these posts) meaning the last 7 years ie before/after biggest crook t nelson made big bonuses early on but ran into an iceburg bigger than the one that sank the biggest ship (titanic/apollo ie phoenix u dummies)...leave on your terms or wait like most of the others because they know they are overpaid and will wait until the damn bursts otherwise you desrve all that is to happen...instincts are given for a reason other than ignorance ;)
60476- Yup, you're right. You do that, you chill "Yo". And when the bills are due and you don't have the bread to put out, just chill. And when the fridge is empty and you ain't got the cash, just chill. And when the mortgage or rent is due and the constable is there at your front door with a couple of LEOs' ( Law Enforcement Officers ) telling you to take your big screen TV and all your other stuff out, just chill.
60517- I'm with you, why wait? For what? Severance? I doubt there'll be any severance. By law they are not under any obligation to pay severance. And they won't, because they don't have it. Why wait? Get out before they walk you out.
AI Washington laid off 11 2 weeks ago, EP's, registrars office to mention a few.
It won't be until the second week of February.
Booming? Lol.
The ship isn't going in the right direction. But no layoffs planned. Chill, yo!
It's always "the week". You are all pathetic and either sucked at what you did at EDMC or youte still there and still suck at what you do. Nothing is happening, business is booming. ESP at SUO. Vice Chamcellor Reqd has the ship headed in the right direction
Camden.... Can you confirm or deny?
