Meh. Who cares? I'll be happy when my SDO closes. If I didn't have so many years in already (and am curious to see how that will pan out re: severance), I'd walk tomorrow. It's peculiar how many people are pissing and moaning about the inevitable SDO closings, yet they act like Staples is somehow betraying them. Never fall in love with a company: it's just a job. Believe me, nobody at the executive management level gives a crap about all the associates they are laying off. So why waste your time getting angry at the company? Or even caring about the level of customer service a future third party carrier is going to provide? Mid-April for a closing date? Sounds good to me.

We see and hear all the complaints from drivers everyday about the nonsense they have to put up with from management. Glad we don't have to be there long enough at the end of our shift to be apart of that crap!

Wow I can't believe that our management allowed our lead driver to demote himself to a Bk3 driver. Guess they did this to keep from losing another great employee. Not the same action they took when we lost our previous lead driver of twenty years of service cause the fat man wouldn't allow him to step down to a route driver. What's the matter you didn't want to be told you're a corporate whore to your face again? Or did your side kick think he would have to threaten another co-worker for giving him the finger? What's happening to all our veteran drivers corporate?

Mr. Dunn. Are you saying the Charlotte SDO is closing? I am assuming we all are, just a matter of time I think.

Hope Tampa gets its announcement soon cause I can't stand the way the manager and supervisor treat some veteran drivers as well as others that they tend to pick on for various reasons. I see these actions almost daily and can't believe a company would treat its vital employees that way. WE all go out there and break our backs for each customer and yet our management team treats us like we don't give enough effort to the company. Maybe when these guys get to go work for a better company they'll realize that being married to the job really stole their soles!

Let's make this easy. This company is in survival mode.Sure staples might survive another ten years or less, but it will be without you.Move on,you owe it to yourself!
