I have read a number of threads regarding embracing change and how a centralized process can and has worked at other schools. I have been at schools that effectively implemented a centralized process and I agree, it worked just fine. However, the difference between those schools and SAE is that they actually had a centralized process in place. What SAE did was let go of people that had a critical role at campus level prior to actually implementing a process to handle what was done by those that were let go. Someone asked earlier this week for the contact information for individuals at headquarters handling the responsibilities of those that were laid off at campus level and I have yet to see any contact information posted. If this is the decision you made, don’t just talk about embracing change. Provide the contact information for the people you have in place in a “centralized” location that replaced those that are no longer available at the campus.

I winder how much that cost us. Another useless FA tool/ idea. That alone probably cost someone their job
has anyone tried using the website video thing? what a waste
Nashville and Miami don't have FA on campus, but they have strong support from the Miami HQ
Which campuses was under this?
HCM2-Whatever happened to this situation at some of the campuses? How was SAE/NAVITAS able to purchase Expressions College under this status?
All campuses have FA? I heard Nashville got rid of the 1 FA person they had. Is that true or not?
All campuses have FA
They are probably looking at volume of packaging. And if it's low, they send the students to Miami call center.
Does anyone know why some campuses still have an FA person and other campuses have no one?
I don't think they will do that. I don't think that group ever really intended to take over the work loads of the school, that may have been said to create calm about the increased work loads they were creating. I have also attended college where they had a centralized process, and this was a process implemented, I'm sure before a student roll out. No, they will continue to do more of the same...I couldn't tell you what that is, but it isn't servicing the students. Not directly. Had they intended to really take over and help the students, they would be giving out that contact information left and right. Has anyone seen an effort or a push to let the students know where they are and how to contact them? Or are they hiding behind whatever financial aid people they have left? I would think the latter.
Well let's see if they keep it. This has become a very top heavy organization. And when things are top heavy, it topples over.
Lets make this clear. SAE didn't create a "centralized" Fin Aid center (or whatever they want to call it) in the hopes or desires to make things run more efficiently. They didn't move in this direction to stay in pace with what other schools are doing. Nor did they make this move after first studying it. SAE made this transition for 1 purpose and 1 purpose only: AS A KNEE JERK REACTION TO REVENUE NOT COMING IN AT THE LEVEL WHICH WAS ANTICIPATED. Period. Those that think differently aren't living in reality because like the person stated above they would have had a centralized process in place or at the very least they would have run a test pilot of the program first. They did neither. Face it folks, we work at a company that reacts first then they think about what they just reacted on.
