Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

We are better than this site leach.

I've talked to at least a dozen DMs in the field, I have talked to RVPs, SVPs, there are literally no field reports of people defecating or otherwise in the stores. This is obviously either a very disgruntled and low functioning employee who is heavily reposting (even in the contrived context of being bothered by it) or it's a clever Staple's tool using it as a way to dissuade us from disclosing information deemed highly important. Just remember, only a scared animal has an accident, right now this group feels so powerless and upset they're emulating our world's most pathetic display. I leaked the assistant layoffs, the initial and second closures, the restructuring/attempted reinventing, and the initial SDO closures. I want this evil to fail but not at the expense of its victims self respect. At some point this dialogue may be forced to a regulated forum if our inferior brethren can't clean up their act (or at least their incessant talk about nothing).

The problem started in 2008 when Staples acquired Corporate Express at an attempt to promote capital growth. When the 2 entities were combined many people were put out of work from management to drivers. The problem is that some folks in senior leadership don't see drivers, material handlers, and QSC's as co-workers but rather a labor force. No company will survive business politics ever. I'm quite thankful that I'm no longer employed there and making nearly twice the salary.

Keep a positive attitude because you will be grateful that you're not sinking with the ship. Staples is failed leadership and the office supply industry is a dying market, just do the research.

What does the Washington State football coach have to do with these atrocities? Not sure how Mike Leach is involved...

You are welcome, I reached out to the admins - as you can see, the junk posts have been removed. They told me just to send them ID numbers of messages that are rude and that action will be taken. It took them about three hours to completely resolve this.

Glad that's cleared up...it is disturbing to think anyone would do such a thing...not just at staples....anywhere..

Have some pride and dignity!

I will write to admins here and ask them to remove all posts referring to people defecating. They have done similar things before when we had some idiot write sexually charged posts about a DM.

There is an easy way to solve this fake/real poo debate. Pictures or it isn't happening. Not just of carpet/floor either. Prove it's at Staples. GO.

Agree with the post, I do store visits around 3 times a week, so far nothing, the fact that the Framingham announcement and the regional action plans got posted have left leaders irritate and willing to do anything to end the stream of information.

Lets use this site constructively to help each other out with what is going on. There is nothing worse than not understanding what is coming. Thanks to all who share appropriately!!!!

I believe the phantom pooper posts are made from someone at Framingham just to discredit this site as juvenile and foolish.

I know all our DMs and senior management are well informed and very hands on so they know all that happens in our store. Their concern for the lowest of us workers is overwhelming and inspiring. Is why nothing happens that isn't immediately known at the highest levels.
