All colleges are "for-profit"

I've said it before and I'll say it again: EVERY COLLEGE IS FOR-PROFIT. Education, like healthcare, is big business in America. Yea, that sucks. Blame the GOP. EDMC is doing nothing wrong by being honest about their profiting. If anything, I give them credit for doing it. But in case you are a fool, or living under a rock, follow the link I've included below. It shows the revenues of NCAA sports at major universities. This is ONLY NCAA SPORTS REVENUE. So add in tuition and federal/state subsidies and that number sky rockets. If you want to spend your life wishing innocent, hard-working people ill will because they work for a college, fine. But at least have the sense to acknowledge that the problem is not EDMC. It's not for-profit education. It's the United States Congress and your beloved capitalism. 'Merica!

Yeah, the difference is a private school knows how to manage its money, the for-profits are all on the verge of bankruptcy. Good thing they dont run a business school, oh wait, never mind.

Actually EDMC was doing something wrong which is why they are in so much trouble. How can you even say that with a straight face while they are in the midst of an 11 billion dollar lawsuit the likes of which have never been seen before? Dose fraud not exist in your world?

This is a false conflation of the facts. You are not comparing apples to apples. The reality is, most private schools in the art field like RISD, Art Center are very selective. They do not grandfather in students based on family history or money, its purely based on raw talent. They dont need recruiters because 80% of the applicants get turned away. Yes, they are expensive, but the difference is the money goes back into the school to hire top notch teachers and smaller class sizes. There is a difference between a class of 10 and a class of 30. Some of the worlds best designers and artists come from these 2 schools. How many famous people come from The Art Institute with 100 times the population? None so far. That says a lot about the quality of student and the education. So no, they are not the same just because they both make money. One is worth it, the other is not.

Nice try but the two are not the same. When was the last time a president of the united states went to a for-profit college? The people cleaning The White House went to better schools then EDMC. Everyone knows For-Profit = Joke. Deal with it.

You're right. Every college spends thousands per student trolling for underemployed people from the south, using recruiters trained to look for weakness and opportunity. And the Associate degrees are all 50k as well. And like all colleges, students are guaranteed high paying jobs to pay back that 100k...go TRUTH!
