Didn't wait for bonus time. NOT WORTH IT. There was no amount of money that would be worth staying any longer than you need to. BA's now run the teams, yellteam members. Bosses just ignore it because they figure, a contractor can do any developers job and the BA's have the smarts. Bosses need to get a CLUE. Was worth more to let the BA get away with improper conduct and letting developer leave than being a manager. When you go to upper management and the person tells you that it would be hard to backfill your position and that you are a smart person, you know that your position in the company is not valued at all. Yes I was a smart person, too bad management isn't. Yes I was the smart one, after over a decade I left for a much better place. So much happier now in my new life of leisure.
Why wait for bonus time. You know eventually you will get let go or the misery has created the need to leave. It's like knowing you are going to get executed or tortured. They aren't going to hand out a bonus large enough worth waiting for that will provide the keys to the cage or a great last meal. Take the bullet or escape from Alcatraz and get out. Your sanity will thank you and your family that does not see you very often will to.
If slavery or prostitution was legal, RJ would be involved with record profits. Get out now. You can play the penny slot machine at the casino any have a better chance at a large bonus.
