THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPINION AND EXPERIENCE WITH CCI: I was with Everest for almost 3 years and quite frankly, in my opinion, it was a complete waste of my time, energy, and talent. When I first started, I was unsure of the company and position itself, but decided to give it a try. Nearly three years later, I continue to ponder as to what made me even consider working for CCI. In my opinion, the campus and area I worked at lacked the qualified management and leadership team necessary to run a successful business model and campus. The DOA and ADOA themselves did not have college degrees, yet are trying to coach us on how to sell degrees to potential students. The DOA and ADOA constantly asked me for help on their tasks that, in my opinion, should be second-nature to them. Then there was the training, which, in my opinion, was very elementary and sub-par. CEEP is a joke and does not work. Apparently, from their point of view, just because I didn't ask for referrals would drastically reduce their show rate. Then we had to report the same data in MULTIPLE channels. I'm not sure where the disconnect was, but reporting the same data on multiple levels of spreadsheets, trackers, etc. Then as far as the work itself: I dodged live calls, I made dials just to make dials, I surfed the internet 95% of the time, I constantly visited other departments with a folder in hand to look and pretend like I was working, my campus had constant stand-up meetings only to talk about the same issues, which I took extended bathroom breaks to avoid the stand up meetings. In the rare event that I did actually attend the stand up meetings, let alone pay attention in them, the DOA constantly suggested that we update our resumes. Then the RVP would visit the campus once a week, which in my opinion, they are overpaid DOA's just to drive from campus to campus and b*tch about everything. I was extremely fake to the RVP, as this individual was the same to everyone. One time, the RVP caught me surfing the internet and then told me to "fight like hell" in the tough times the company was facing. Honestly, I was trying so hard not to laugh and at the same time, whatever crap they were babbling went in one ear and out the other. What really annoyed me about this company is how they took away everyone's hard earned vacation time. I had mentally quit already and as soon as an opportunity came about, I put in for vacation. Once I confirmed I got paid, I quit. AGAIN, EVERYTHING MENTIONED ABOVE IS STRICTLY MY OPINION AND EXPERIENCE WITH CCI.

46005: in my opinion, you're probably one of pathetic scum of the management team wasting your life away. say and think whatever you wish, but the fact of the matter is you're stuck at cci. i'll admit i became lazy/careless/etc. but lets review as to why: no raises in 3 years, my hard-earned vacation time taken away, 1 week no pay furlough without notice, new hires making more than me with no education/experience. I only put in as much effort equal to my pay. so yes, i slacked off big time. i didn't care for the job. i didn't do what i was supposed to do. i literally came to work and got paid for surfing the web. luckily, i was smart enough to use every bit of my vacation time, get paid for it, and then quit with no notice. in my opinion, i was showing the same level of respect that cci has shown me.
Thanks for admitting what a lousy employee you were and probably still are somewhere. I laugh when someone like you admits how you got paid for doing nothing all day then complain about the company and your manager. I agree with you, they were bad managers for not firing you. You were the one that was worthless.
Great post - thanks!
761 - ignore them, they're management. Nobody who has worked here for any length of time would post those comments without having an agenda.
when you dont get a single raise 3 years straight, and see people riffed week after week but upper mgmt is telling you everything is fine, then yeah i became less and less motivated. so for those of you who are so perfect and to pass judgement, first and foremost, f*ck you. and second, enjoy your time at cci.
You are clearly a bad employee. Good employees leave companies better off when they leave, for the great work they did when they were there. You are lucky you weren't let go years ago. Moron. Chronic "victim." Cry baby.
So you didn't try to change anything in three years except to avoid working and meetings. Tell me again why you aren't lazy?
Cool story bro
What are you going to do when you have to work at a job? In my opinion, you lack professionalism. No company would be lucky to have you.
face mcpherson: my first year wasnt bad at all, as i was quite successful and enjoyed my job. then these changes started happened and that's when i became less and less motivated. when you don't get a raise in 3 years and then new people come on board making more than you, then yeah, in my opinion, i have a right to adjust my level of work and effort.
45718: point taken. i should have also included the fact that in the beginning, i did my best and was quite successful. then, sh*t started happening, no raises in 3 years, new hires starting off making more than i, people getting riffed left and right, feeling like walking on egg shells, etc., so yeah, i was mentally checked out and had one foot out the door.
In the meantime, Colonel Mustard in the Library with the Lead Pipe. Confession is on Wednesdays. Seriously, if it bothered you that bad, why three years. This post is strictly my opinion and experience with bitter people......
Here endith the lesson.
Sounds like you were lazy and did not want to work. Surfing the net while get paid.. Sound like CCI is just a teeny bit better without you!
