Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

Seriously. Did the Department of Education decide Corinthian would start to teach out or shut down this winter, or

did Corinthian initiate the deal? What happens if all schools are not sold by Jan? Does CCI or the D of E call the next series of steps? Does Heald automatically go into teach out mode?

I thought that, too until the ECMC deal, which turned out to be pretty much an open secret. Now, I don't know what to think.

936, this sounds like it's more of an opinion as opposed to a fact. Where are you getting your information from? The truth is that anyone with real information would not post it on here due to signing a non-disclosure agreement.

Anyone have a link to the operating agreement with Department of Ed? What is the deadline regarding a sale of Heald? What is the process if the deadline is not met?

It's not looking good. People are working towards a teach out because no one wants to touch a California campus. No matter what, the new owner would have to take on the lawsuit with them. The AG will not stop. It will follow any do the Corinthian brands, even Heald
