It was a nice gesture that calmed us for a few days. But what's going on with the rest of this "restructuring" that they are talking about. What else is going to get centralized in Miami under Jerry?

Survey smurvey those endless useless survey monkeys go to no one or maybe your overworked over stressed student services who will try to get a higher up to pay attention to it but somehow will be suppressed. THEY DONT CARE, This is the takeover
51008- they consulted with the COO, CRO and HR.
Navitas is now interested in what the people that keep the schools running and money in "their" pockets think. All they care about is how much money is hitting their bank account monthly and how much money goes out.....PERIOD. How do I know this? Look at how out of the blue they did the layoffs. Has anyone asked the question: Who did Scott Jones and the others come up with the names of those who were to be laid off? Who did they consult when deciding who's to stay and who will go? When you figure out these 2 central questions you will find out that you are nothing to them.
I wish they would do a survey
I hear Jo Anthony is going to the campuses. I hope he either goes with Scott Jones or goes alone. If he brings any of the current US corporate team (Operations, HR, Admissions), the campuses will end up curbing what they say because if their presence. We hope he comes to our campuses by himself so he can have open conversations with the campuses and Directors. I think he will receive constructive criticism.
Good point Anonymous50583. Would you trust them? How can you trust top management when it was "them" who caused all this to happen in the first place? Can you trust the Navitas people when they came up with which departments to cut and what people to fire with NO consultation with the campus directors? On Career builder there was a job posting for a Fin Aid Manager for the Atlanta campus on Oct 30. 2 weeks later they fired 2 of the 3 fin aid reps with no warning whatsoever. That tells you this was a knee jerk reaction from Navitas because they were mad too much money was spent by HQ in Miami and some campuses didn't make their Oct start goals. Money was thus lost so someone from Navitas woke up one morning with the brilliant idea of how to save money which really means keep more money in their pockets........Lets fire this department and that department....this person and that person and lets not consult anyone because we know it all. These are the people you would trust? You're dreaming!
If they said tomorrow that they are not going to lay off any more employees, would you really believe them? Their credibility has been ruined. I am shopping my resume right now. Better to look for a job when you have a job than to be unemployed and be looking for a job.
Gotta give the guy some time I'm sure there's a lot he needs to work through at miami HQ. And he did say that
Would be a bloody shame (in a British accent) if he came all the way to the states and not visit any schools except Miami!
I heard he was in the States. Not sure if he visited any campuses or reached out to them. I hope he understands we trust him more than the US management team.
no other communication that i know of
How do we know that that post from the "linked in" initiator is actually that person? For all we know, it's someone from Group trying to calm us.
So far they have student accounts, financial aid and admissions. Next are academics and career services. Maybe SAE is going online and we just don't know it yet.
Who's Jerry?
No. But what frightens me is no one up there has relieved us by saying there will not be any more layoffs. That's why a handful of us think that the shedding is not done. Restructuring? I don't think so. Were not idiots. They need to save money. We were shown financials and there was so much talk about what can we do to help retention.
Nothing at the campuses. no emails or anything. It's like we're all just waiting for another bad decision or a layoff. Maybe they'll send an email saying that they are teaching out audio and bringing in basket weaving.
