Many posts here, nothing on layoffs. I left in 2010, are you guys laying people off now?

We hope not, but we haven't quite heard otherwise. Fact is, we don't want a layoff. We want heads to roll for taking a growing, profitable division and screwing that up.

I feel horrible for the call center. They are nice people who are trying to earn a living. And they are caught in the middle of all this. If this is the direction we are going in, we either have to accept it or move on.
Academics I hear. Unless they completely change the model of the call centers.
So if you say its 20 the next round........from what departments???
40 this round and 20 the next.
Actually I heard the number was around 60......I was one of them. They laid off people who had been working 3-4 months and less.......one guy at my campus was there less than a month! You know when a company doesn't care about you when they lay you off during the holidays and they lay off good people and the sorry people remain. That's why you cannot have loyalty to ANY companies (except maybe a small mom & pop company). They NEVER will care for you but they expect you to care for them. They want you to go balls out for them yet they will NEVER go balls out for you except when its time to fire or layoff then they will go balls out to get you out.
