It's the fault of admissions for not hitting their budget goal and the Campus Directors for not driving them to results. People here blame management but the issue was performance at the campus level. If you hit your numbers like you were supposed to, then we wouldn't have to let people go. SAE campuses have been a bunch of whiney bitches when we asked them to actually work for once. We try to maintain positivity on the call. Ungrateful... We even brought you on trips to show you we appreciate Admissions! And the reason we are centralizing A call center, FA and Student Accounts at Group is because we had to; the campuses couldn't do it without making a mess. It's 1+1=2. !!! There is no conspiracy here. The blame lies in admissions NOT performing and Campus Directors not holding them accountable like they should! This so called SAE "culture" needed to change. Rock and Roll is out the door, and business is in. So stop wasting employee time on here, get to work and GET OVER IT!

George, we know this is you. You are the only person who has yet to accept responsibility and thinks it's ok to speak to people in this manner. So I'll address you directly. Isn't it you who is over admissions on a national level? If YOUR team failed under TOUR watch, tell me how it is that you escape culpability? What's interesting to be is you happily just cashed your bonus check that was built off the backs of these "ingrates." How is it at all the right thing that you are happy to take the kudos and rewards but refuse to take anybody the responsibility? People are bitching because you are part of a treat that came in and took a promising, exciting place to work and turned it into a shit show. You showed, by this post, that you are exactly what's wrong with this company. On one side you say "we tried to keep these meetings positive" then you call the people who worked under your direction bitches? Your lack of professionalism knows no bounds. Further, we have people coming across the world to try and fix the mess you were part of making. They've left their families and are working to find out just what in the Hell you people did over here and you piss on their heads by posting THIS response the same day Scott Jones sends a message trying to calm things down. This is the best you can do?! You are the only person who refuses to admit or see that you are a giant part of the problem. If Navitas doesn't call you out for this ridiculous, destructive retort and make you apologize for slowing the efforts, I'll be disappointed in their ability to see what's going on. So George, while you sleep at night on a pillow stuffed with money people made for you, please remember for a moment that there are people who lost their jobs because of you and those other "professionals." They might lose their houses, their kids won't have a good Christmas, they might argue with their spouses, won't sleep at night and the amount of misery you've cause will never be forgotten. Congratulations. You've done a wonderful job.....of turning this in to a place people regret with every fiber of their being being a part of. Sleep well, it's only people's livelihood at stake while you are busy being important and not responsible.
Sales force can be misleading. Cool to work with, but the data misleading.
Growth came from Title IV Funding and adding a new campus, not from all these new initiatives. Look at the time frames.
I watched my Campus Director tour with prospects!!!! Whoever wrote this has no idea the heart of those directors! Shame on you for assuming we don't work!
Actually if you read the letter of the global CEO, it was because they over hired - cost and staff management. Again, the budget was created with hopes of growth in enrollment by 30% . But not sure how they came to that calculation. Rookie moves
good point
Before This new management team... We were a little over 1000 students. A year and a half in with all these new bells and whistles, we are a little over 1000 students with Chicago enrollments now because back then, they didn't have any students. So we are spending more, hiring mire people, to achieve the same results? We are actually producing less under their model if you take out Chicago, which didn't exist back then!
Who's dumb idea was it to have a call center make the appointments for admissions reps? I mean the schools are soooooooo small in population was there or is there really a need for a call center? I can see if the campuses had populations in the thousands and then maybe.......maybe a need for a call center. So does anyone knows who came up with that idea and why?
Who set the budget goal? George and Will. If the goal was totally unrealistic, then it was not going to happen. They based the goal on what they needed to bring in to support the bills and extra payroll they did not originally budget for!!!!
Whoever the poster is is sooooo off the mark.
And this is the reason why there's a divide between campuses and corporate. That is the wrong mindset. We get that this is business and until you all came in a year and a half ago, we were profitable. Unreasonable budgets to support Group growth is what I saw. We were paying the way and salaries for the call center, the other new positions in marketing , YOUR salary. SAE was not in a position to grow corporate to that extent in your first year! We know about the 1:3:10 growth plan. It was contingent on other factors! And you didn't factor in the costs!

This blame game has got to stop.

- We did used to make more calls because the call center did not exist!!! Unfortunately, the way it is set up now... I have wait ... No RELY on the call center to make appointments. How is that efficient or effective. We see how many appointments are set... But we have no idea how many were not set due to the call center. Think about it that way. They too.. Though I appreciate their circumstances... But I'm sure they have missed a few opportunities for enrollments based on their own performance
I hate to agree somewhat with management but whoever wrote that about admissions being at fault I have to agree. The admissions staff at the campus I was working out of would mostly sit and wait on the phone to ring. I've worked at other for profit schools and that just wouldn't fly. They would have to call old leads, somewhat old leads, etc. They would be required to make at least 75-100 outbound calls per day unless they had a few tours setup for that day. That's the standard at most big for profit schools. Again.......SAE admissions reps are spoiled......they just hang around the phone waiting on the call center to set the appointment and that phone to ring. Admissions reps should be held more accountable for the starts but that has to be done by management.
