Is this true? I heard today that there would be more layoffs after the holiday next week. What a company.

More financial aid jobs and student accounts. This is a heads up to all those in that position. They are taking it to Miami
If there has been no assurance that there are no more layoffs, then how do we know tge gutting hasn't stopped
Never trust those in charge. They ONLY look out for themselves and those like them. The rest of us are NOTHING to them which means they could careless how laying us off will affect us.
Communication is so bad here that I was laid off and wasn't even told yet lol
What irks me is that I believe that they have known for some time that this would happen and they would lay off. If they had only given people time to get a head start in finding another position, refinance to lower bills, etc.
Maybe he had resigned. I do think it's odd that during a time like this, we wouldn't hear from the COO. But it's not like he ever communicated with us as a CFO or COO this past year.
We have yet to hear from our COO. What's up with that

Times like these, employees are placed into two categories: essentials, non essentials, in other words valuable or not. That can be difficult, as all employers begin by saying they value it's employees. Unfortunately, there's a fine print to that statement, or an addendum. We value our employees.... Until we have to cut you.
Well I can tell you if another round of people are to go I can bet you anything whoever is pushing the buttons and deciding this will be doing so without first understanding or seeing with their own eyes if the people really deserve to be fired or stay...........they proved that last week that's for sure! Instead of sitting your ASS down in Miami HQ or over in the Land Down Under how about you visit each campus for a week to see first hand who is working and who is not instead of doing the easy thing looking at a damn spreadsheet!
I don't believe so. Lets all just stsy focused as best we can with helping students
This is a typical concern that tends to arise when a company experiences a major layoff. I have heard 60 when there were in fact 40. So perhaps there are another 20? Honestly, one can never know. One can only hope that all has been done.
