Hi Folks,
It's Ex'pression College, not Expressions College!
We have been weathering storms for a number of years, starting around 2008.
After some really thin years, we were acquired, which started yet another period of adjustment.
From this recent round of layoffs, our process of getting back on track has been extended yet again; and has left a lot of people feeling tired, insecure, and looking for other work (in some cases).
My opinion is that as educators and the administrators that support them, we have not yet been given all the resources we need to make our work the best it can be. Unfortunately, I and others are not quite convinced that even those in charge truly see this disconnect, and things may limp along as they have been until something blows up in the faces of all that are left, including our cherished students.
I'd like to add that I still love the many folks I've worked with for years, and all of our unique, hardworking students!
I am still hopeful that we will all thrive. Can some intelligent management chime in and further enlighten our conversations? At this point, it's really up to you. We've been here trying to make it work all along!
Low morale as well. Things will eventually bounce back
Why did ExPression drop that much?
expression will rise again. They have a great product. And they have a great faculty. This is from the outside looking in. Give it time.
I think the purchase of Expressions college was one of the reasons why Scott and myself along with 50 something other people were let go. Expressions was a purchase SAE should have passed on.......I keep hearing that student population has dropped since the purchase.......that tells me it was a bad investment. Just my thoughts and nothing bad about Expressions College
Also had cost management issues. But went from the frying pan any into the fire when SAE acquired them with good faith money. Great delivery of programs. Tell SAE not to touch them. They just needed a boost. And all they got was bust.
