Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Had a one on one

Had a one on one with one of the big wigs who was on campus last Thursday for the career fair. After a few minutes of conversation on what was happening all I was hearing was Blah- Blah -Blah. In talking to a few others who talked to him they got the same feeling. In talking to other co workers we all seem to agree that if nothing happens by the T-day break there will not be enough staff on campus after the 1st of the year to run the campus. We have held on for along time but we can't hold on any longer.

Big wig Bill M was visiting the Laramie campus. He is not from the Laramie campus. Goes just a little higher. But still Blah- Blah- blah.

Who in their right mind would choose to stay with the company if you have options? Unless those options are lesser paying and will still be there some time down the road. Beyond that, I have no idea why anyone would stick around.

Santa Ana is where the information exists. It's difficult to assume that even a big wig in Laramie would be any more aware of anything than anyone else.

Yes I may have held on to long but I like Laramie. I like Wyoming. I really don't want to pick up and move. Anyway my looking phase is over. I already have options. All I need to do is pick up the phone. But I am going to wait to make the call until next Wed.

If some of the information revealed here has been accurate, which is clearly a matter of debate. Then the most recent development with CA AG would be a perfect time to go dark about any further details. Hypothetically.

This is just a general observation but with the information that's been shared here over the past two weeks, you have to be realize that management is aware and may take extra steps to keep any further details secret. Public details of what may be happening behind the scenes could open up the company to a new scandal. I am sure they would do their best to avoid this, should anyone chose to use it as leverage against them. And I am sure that some would. SEC regulations are pretty strict on these matters.

Don't take this the wrong way - I'm not a troll and, like you, have heard the same rhetoric from CCi management in email correspondence over the last 5 months - but at what point do you see what is publicized in the media (and even discussed on this site if you read here regularly) and think that only after Thanksgiving that the game is up? I'm not trying to be rude here, but YES, the game is up, has been up, and is slowing down to a hault... the time to start looking for other opportunities is not in December, it was months ago.
