I was a PL that worked remote and I was laid off last Friday. Apparently 38 of us were let go. I am so glad this has happened. I already found a new job teaching. I think it is funny that all the veteran employees at CCI that are still there have drank the Kool Aid in hopes of a buyer to keep their jobs. If a buyer is actually there keep in mind over time most will be let go. Again, thank you for laying me off so I do not have to stress of this anymore. I had very good numbers and I was still let go. No one is safe. I wish everyone the best in finding employment. If you do not have a plan B by now you are most likely in trouble soon.

645, I have very little time on my hands. But I have enough to tell you that I am not a profiler and have never claimed to be same. I am, however, an pretty f***ing amazing hacker and promise to be your worst enemy if you take one more step out of line. Watch your back. For about 24 months.
chucking deuces your way

Good for you getting a job quickly. When I leave it will be for this reason and this reason only. I am tired of using Talisma and calling students. It is worthless and unnecessary. If they want to keep good instructors, stop making them do stupid things. My retention rate was way higher before the school allowed students to post main posts anytime, I have nothing to keep them posting on time. That is the bad retention rate cause, the school allows them to post all at the end. Simple and clear.
U have to admit calling them Koolaid drinkers wasn't nice. And thanks for letting us know there are jobs out there. That blows my mind.
OP here. Yes, my intent for my post was let current employees know there are jobs out there. Good ones actually. If you decide to stay and hope there is a buyer and then hope the buyer keeps you then go for it. I had a plan B because the risk was way too high for me having a family to take care of. I am glad I did because I clearly was right about my situation. I hope there is a buyer and they keep most of the employees. I hate to see people lose their jobs.
"Now stop posting here like a good ex-employee." lol
646 has too much time in his hands, and dreams to be a psychological profiler. He will probably reply to this too, coz no one else will engage him in real life.
I have no clue as to the identity of the OP, nor do I know the identity of 643. There is no empathy here - that would require me to know much more about either person than I currently do. The intent of this post is to encourage others to realize that there is a great big world out there without 643s, or 651s, for whom I have no empathy simply because they get off on being anonymously mean to others. In fact, I think they actually have a rage syndrome known as intermittent explosive disorder.....it just makes them feel good. Very primitive.
646 and 641 is either the same person or probably star-crossed lovers. Either way they think too highly of themselves. Plus expecting empathy in a message board filled with hijackers is pretty pathetic.
Good luck to you, OP! And ignore morons like 643, who has anger issues and in middle age still wants to wear training pants. Everyone knows attrition cycles round and round. There is an inverse correlation between calling and retention, and you probably just did your job too well. The koolaid here is enough to gag a maggot, so pay no attention to anyone who disrespects you. 2nd.
Good for you! The remaining ones aren't drinking any Kool-aid. They're still there coz they weren't let go unlike you. Stop saying you're glad to be laid off and move on. With your "good numbers" I'm sure you will be successful elsewhere. Now stop posting here like a good ex-employee.
