New 2015 IT Goal from the IT all meeting is 90%> Retention of Staff

I wonder why they need a retention goal now and a public one at that? I believe Best Practice is 10% turnover too.

they've got a morale problem and a retention problem. you can't cut like you did and deflate morale and still expect to keep key people. those folks are leaving as well and the company hasn't been successful in trying to keep them. those high flying quarterly earnings aren't going to last forever.

Best Practices are using someone else's proven ideas and lessons learned to get the job done. A running start. If you like reinventing the wheel, then best practices are NOT for you.

I don't care about best practices.
