Just don't understand why they had to do it during 1 pay period. I'm frustrated!

How am I doing with the furlough? Great! Now I can concentrate on my 2nd full time job like the other PDs and Deans. It's no secret that many of them are full time at other places.
It's shocking how stupid everyone is. This was expected. Actually, I expected mass layoffs first, pay cut later. But you understand, OP, that CCI is closing? December and it's all over. Even if they go to teach out, they will have a skeleton crew at best. Maybe a dean. Maybe one security officer. Instructors only for necessary classes. (FT instructors will go. Replaced by cheap adjuncts.) that's pretty much it. Less than 10 employees per building. If they sell, they will either fire us all or offer us much, much less pay. There IS no scenario where it gets better. I am not sure how people have not yet gotten this message. I started looking the day of the first email. After months of looking, I finally got a job. It was not on a job board. I had to do toms of work to find it. If you haven't yet, those who believe in unicorns, start looking now. There is no scenario where this gets better, even after a sale.
Your pay must be cut so we can buy more toner!
232, word has it Everest is being sold. I don't think any sale is going to happen.
Obviously they did it because they can't make payroll.
Heald looks like they are about to be sold separately; does this mean Everest is going to be the scapegoat brand that takes the DOE hit?
Well at least they picked a month with three pay periods...I'm looking for new employement, I can't imagine how much worse it is going to get, but I have a feeling it isn't going to get better. I don't even know why they are stringing this out - who in their right mind would buy us? I know what we do at the campus I work at is give a good education, with good student retention and placement, but we are Everest, and the brand is tarnished!
They are doing it during the same period because it is the end of the fiscal quarter. This is what they said they were trying to avoid by forcing the ten percent pay cut last month.
