The following is a message to Staples Broomfield associates and North American VPs and above from John Lynch, VP Engineering, Construction, and Support Services.
As our associate base in Broomfield evolves, we recently reviewed options on how best to utilize the space at 1 Environmental Way. We recognize there is an opportunity to optimize our space and reduce our occupancy costs, while still accommodating all of our current Broomfield associates. We have decided to explore leasing out the 2nd floor of the building to a new tenant.We are in the early stages of this process and have not begun speaking to potential tenants. While this may eventually create some short-term disruptions to our Broomfield team, this is the right approach to establish a long-term presence for Staples at 1 Environmental Way.The specifics of space planning and changes to the current layout in Broomfield will be based on the needs of a new tenant, therefor we do not have a full transition timeline to share at this time. We are committed to keeping you informed as the process moves forward.To answer any initial questions you may have, we will be holding a Town Hall for Broomfield associates in the coming weeks.
