Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Does furlough apply to,those who have taken unpaid time off? Or are they doing furlough because nobody would take time off?

I still haven't received any email. But I am faculty, so maybe I won't.

I hope this helps answer your question. "Also, if hourly employees have already voluntarily contributed unpaid days off prior to this announcement, they may count those days toward this furlough. "

Sorry. Typos. Should read. If below faculty level. One week furlough. If director and above. 50 percent pay cut for one pay

Actually all staff takes a one week furlough. If they rebel ow faculty level. Directors and abovem take a 50 percent pay cut forth one pay period. Seems the brass thinks a person making 11 or 12 bucks an hr can afford a week without pay as much as an executive who makes 100 or 200 grand a year missing one week. Greedy CEOs and board members and very stupid thought process

It does not include PLs. They teach two classes.

No, the furloughs are for everyone, that took the 10% pay decrease. Faculty are not required to take the furlough, it is for all the PL PD, managers. So that we can meet the payroll.
