Any truth in this? I think they have enough problems, they do not need another one. Yet, this rumor is persistent.

Nobody has come forward since you posted this to talk about the tours that ECMC has been on. What do you think that means? To me, it means that it's not really truth. But, even if they are in the touring stages, that means no offer has likely been made. But, even if they make an offer and DOE and accreditation companies approve, you're still looking at 6 months minimum before a sale closes.
I think the same person or couple of people keep posting this rumor here. I haven't been able to confirm any tours of the campus on the ground, and I've been trying to confirm this. So, it seems like it's just on this board. And when that gets posted, nobody really follows up with any information. It's like one person posts and nobody confirms. To me, that's an indication as well that it's not true. I haven't been able to find any real evidence of them coming (via managers etc.) But, maybe employees at those schools they've supposedly toured will talk about it here?
It's only persistent here on this board. I have not heard anything from any person at my school. Before any sale can happen, DOE and separate accreditation bodies all must approve any deal.
