The dire prediction is contradicted by the caption under the photo of the student: "A student who attended a for-profit college found she could have saved $14,000 in student debt by going to a community college." Why didn't the student figure that out before going to a for-profit? She's clearly a fool, and there will never be a shortage of fools.
People who don't follow this board are always posting stuff they think we haven't seen yet. Most articles are posted pretty quickly here.
Two thoughts: There is nothing specific or new here. Rehashed info previously diplayed from other media sources (and from CCI filings). Change "CCI" to "ITT", "EDMC" or any number of other for-profits and the story fits.
- The fat lady has not yet sung, but she is almost done warming up. Pure speculation on my part, but the time frame around 9/5 (payroll) could be interesting/scary.
