Thread regarding Home Depot Inc. layoffs

I was let go back in 2009 I used to work at a Expo Design center, but HD Bath and YardBIRDS were affected as well. 2009 was pretty bad for the company, but most stores were not affected. I think overall five thousand people were let go. At the same time they cut staff at the corporate office, I think almost one thousand people were let go, the severance was OK, cannot complain. At the same time, this was a good thing for me. I did not like my pay even though working with customers was fun. I finished my bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting, took me about four years to wrap that up, I had random jobs but somehow I managed. So, I was let go, but it turned to be a blessing as I got let go and now in 2014 my pay is 4 times what it was when I left Expo. So, cannot complain at all. Good luck to all off you who are still with Home Depot.
