And they are interested in becoming a college. All my sources say they are the nonprofit rumored to buy our campuses

from what I have heard, ECMC is the non profit who wants to buy us. I believe that they are favored by the US DOE because the DOE started them and they eventually split from the DOE.
I heard that they are requesting a quick sell and the DOE likes them. It is my understanding that since the stock (private) will not be going, the legal stuff stays with CCI. This is a win for ECMC and the students. Not so sure what that means for the employees.
All I know is that there is supposed to be an announcement this week or by Wednesday of next week to announce the sale of Heald. Jack is also saying that he hopes to make an announcement in 3-4 more weeks on the sale of the Everest brand.
I do not know much but that is what I have heard so far, right from Jack and an RVPO with loose lips.
I think if you want to become a college, you need more than interest.
I find it impossible to believe that DE would allow that to happen. Total conflict of interest. And in fact, will be a disaster since they want students to default.
Sounds self serving and a disaster if they do. The monitors won't allow it
Bring it on.
Ok. So noted. Time will tell.
