Did anyone catch that in the final grade instruction email that Faculty got had a day for the final grades being due on the 17th. Normally it is 3 days after the course ends (Oct 8). It also had something new that seemed to softly encourage us to accept assignments this week even though the course has ended. WTF: as if the late policy isn't already comical, now the students "might" have an extra week after the course ends!! Hell no will I allow that. Geez, what's next..making the instructors actually do the assignments for the students.

This is 488 again. Grades are entered. No further work will be accepted.
I have done my duty. Time to move on to bigger and better things. To everyone who tried their best I say: Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen!!!!!
Just completed my grading...I don't allow students to submit any work after the course has ended. If they do, it is a zero. Sure they may whine and complain, but they have had 12 weeks to get assignments in. Oh well...if you fail a basic Everest course you will fail at life.
Not my problem...the students are adults and we aren't here to change their diapers.
same here....finishing up my final grades by tomorrow and then I am done with it all. Moving on to better things..weekends off, no outreach calls, no worrying about if I will get paid, no unpaid mandatory training/meetings/admin work, etc.

Didn't receive this email. My "Dean" is such an idiot she vacillates between grades being due on Tues and Wed. I am turning grades in and washing my hands. No late work will be accepted as my Late Policy states it won't be accepted!
Even if you give them extra time, students won't turn in late work at this point in the term. The school is so worried about the Fs they'll do anything. Once the class ends is not a good plan.
What school? What campus? Our final grades are due within 72 hours of midnight on last day of course.
