Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

What will you do

What happens if ECMC acquires CCI and some departments? Say the announcement goes out sometime in October. Who will be the first to step up and apologize for all their negative posts? Conversely who will admit they were wrong if no sale goes through? The point being this is going to end one of two ways and I am betting the naysayers will have egg on their face but will not admit it.

It doesnt matter Socle is the company they are trying to save. The rest is expendable. That has been the plan for at least a year now.

OP is asking for speculation about his speculation. This is not a good place for scenario planning, the bubble eyed goldfish trolls will pollute your data.

The government is guaranteeing the loans so, of course, the banks signed. The Dept. of Ed. will do a decent job of collecting CCI's student loan debt. Students can't get out of paying back their student loans, even if they file bankruptcy, and the IRS can keep students' tax refunds for payment on student loan debt.

It already has failed...it is being walked through a sale or teach out process for months. Please stop dreaming that your job is safe in a sale, you are unemployed either way. Why do you want to work for a predatory lender anyways? No pride?

Anonymous40856: You are correct. Why would a bank sign agreements if there was not a chance they could collect a portion of their money back? You can't get blood from a stone. The DoE already cut funding once, why would they not do it again unless there was something to gain? I think a lot of people are bitter and hoping it fails but there is a good chance it won't

I have been one of those who forecasted closure before sale based on the available data. If I am proven wrong, I will gladly say so. Clearly the lenders have info to make them believe that something is going to happen that will prevent default on their loans to CCI. I suspect that they are making decisions based on data not available to all of us. A pending sale fits that description......

Why would we apologize? A sale does not mean employees will be kept on and it could mean lower pay. It could be a long time before a rebranding means anything. There's still low morale and the same old issues. I'm not celebrating the loss. I'm moving on. A sale is not necessarily a reason to rejoice.

CCI employees really are as dense as I remember. Only CCI employees want to work for an entity that has been labeled as a predatory lender by the federal government. But when the vast majority of their employees are ghetto rats and druggies..what do you expect?

Who cares. It's all speculation. And there's no guarantee of a happy ending anyway.
