Opening a thread here - Let's list all ridiculous goals we have to force on our Associates.

Probably the best thread on this site. Nothing to add, everything was covered.
They are not goals they are expectations. Those who will not conform, will be ousted.
I dont know what its like with the over emphasis on being tardy is like in the retail stores but its quite over done in the sales office part of it. Like 1 minute tardy really makes a huge difference out of the day. Life happens.. we can't alwyas hit the clock exact. I feel like a clock punching drone.. there is bigger things they need to be looking at.
PA Announcements drive me absolutely nuts, I am an associate, nobody listens to that junk, nobody every approached me about it, I think it just annoys customers and adds a bit of Wal Mart-ish feeling to the overall shopping experience.
mobile stuff is the worse. tardy stuff is just plain stupidoooo
I am so glad I don't have to push their BS agenda anymore. Being laid off sucked, but finding another job(with comparable pay and working less hours (in a salaried position,)) has actually been a blessing for me.
Best of luck to the current "associates" - it's only a matter of time until you get the news.
A)PA Announcements every 15 minutes that no one listens to (Have yet to encounter a customer that asks about offers mentioned),
B) Having to calculate digital receipt penetration with a tally sheet (did we go back to handwriting sales receipts too?)
C) Outdated POS software that has exceeded it's lifespan and tells us NOTHING about the customer we are assisting out other than their name.
D)A mobility program that is five years too late and now held hostage by Apple's ego on who can and can't sell their product or even display a piece of paper that says they can sell their product. Not to mention this program was launched with the most ridiculous scaled back advertising presence I have ever seen. Where were the commercials? The big balloon out front? WE DON'T MAKE CUSTOMERS WAIT FOR REBATES ON PHONES! WHY ARE WE NOT ADVERTISING THIS? Legal maybe?
E) Useless conference calls that take the GM and staff off the sales floor and kill productivity/sales with stores being understaffed. (how about one every other week even?)
F) Micromanaging district managers to the EXTREME. Don't even think about it. Whatever it was, forget about it. It's wrong.
G) Passing out flyers, and more flyers. Weekly deals, daily deals, weekend deals, mobile flyers, apple flyers...are we giving our customer a free accordion file to carry all these in?
I could go on and on...
PAs, mobile, awkward scheduling at staff expense, endless/profit less initiatives, hurting the elderly/uniformed through misfit selling, compromising one's sense of purpose, forcing excessive results with insufficient resources, I mean it's all just too much to cover, it's an endless nightmare we all resent enough to complain about in our precious free time...
I was written up for being "tardy". Management said that only if an airplane hit the bridge I cross to get to work I would then be exempt from being "tardy". Really? This is what's wrong with this company. Oh and God forbid you pick up your clip board eight minutes before your start time! And let's not help a driver who can't complete his route, let's see how much he brings back so we can stick it in his ass! Then waste time calling in "exceptions" because we're not aloud to make a freakin' decision on our own. Hell we can't even take a piss in the building without being looked at in disgust! But we're all PROFESSIONAL drivers according to you know who???
1 minute past start time is considered "tardy".

Working on holidays? Christmas?
