While it is great that the Title IV funding did not cease right now, are we in for Furloughs or layoffs. Cannot see how Cci can continue to pay the present workforce for another month or so until the Sales(?) are finalized and money is in hand.

Not all Heald campus are or were good, we also have our Salinas campus that is the worst campus. There used be good management and great employees bur once Richard Cox took over everything went down the drain, our current population is about 650 but we used to have 1300. As of right Heald Salinas is just not performing and everyone is aware of ir.
Good question. It can't come from Heald. We don't have any thing left to give. Every cent of profit that we provide goes to fueling the machine. Our campuses are stripped bare. We know that Everest and Wyotech campuses are in the same boat. We feel for our counterparts at those schools, we really do. We know that the staff and faculty are not to blame. Heald has been raped to the point where, just like the other schools, we have nothing. No paper, no toner. No tape, no paper clips. No SOAP in the bathrooms. Toilet seat covers would be an absolute luxury item. It's so embarrassing. I'm surprised that the water or electricity hasn't been shut off.
I signed up to work for Heald, just Heald. In the short time that cci has owned Heald, everything turned to shit. Just three moths before the acquisition, we all got a hefty bonus check at my campus because of our numbers. That was the second bonus check in a year. Our enrollment was through the roof. We had so many students that employees had to park off-site and be shuttled in. We were adding adjuncts every term, and ft teachers were constantly being offered over load classes. For every student appreciation week we had really nice free meals for students, raffles, giveaways. We were handing out gas cards to students, giving away free t-shirts all the time. Things were good. Everyone was happy. We worked very hard and achieved WASC Sr accreditation. We were well into the development of bachelor's programs. Then the acquisition. People in charge of Heald got greedy when they heard the cci offer. Cci simply wanted a well-established brand with accreditation so that they could improve their image. Now what do we have? About 600 less students at our campus. VA funding gone. Half the amount of employees that we used to have. The remaining employees working way too hard to compensate for being short-staffed. Pay cuts. Mandatory furlough. Reputation all but ruined. Completely demoralized employees. No f***ing toilet paper. Every penny of profit is turned over to pay the bills for the other schools.
No one at the campus level liked the cci acquisition, and all we want now is to be as far away from cci as we can. Cci took a brand that was over 150 years old and has now probably ruined it.
Someone needs to be held accountable. But, they won't be.
Yes, it's funded to the tune of $750k out of $30,000k.
