"Buyer walked" is better than "buyer never showed up" or "buyer ran."

It wasn't fake but there isn't a buyer now
Buyer walked.
Why would any government entity want to destroy the value of all of CCI's assets? If that happens, there will be no restitution or reimbursements or fines paid. That would thwart the goals of every civil action currently pending. On the other hand, nobody would be surprised if the government's actions were entirely contradictory to its goals.
It's just about over. Everyone is getting unemployment just in time for the holidays.
Discussions probably were tabled until the criminal investigations are done. The AG is seeing that no CCI Division survives. They are pulling out all the punches
It wasn't fake, but I think the sale fell through last week.
Sale is not fake. I can't say more without revealing my identity. Keep the faith!
Given the amount of dishonesty we have seen, I don't think it is fake sale talk. The Heald management has some integrity. I don't think they are lying. There might be trouble completing a deal because things keep getting worse for CCi. If we could get a criminal indictment for a few at CCI, this would then satisfy regulators so the Heald sale could get done.
It's not fake, it's just not likely to happen. I'm sure they had inquiries but with the latest news, who would any part of this. The end feels near.

I don't think the sale is fake, but I do have a concern about CCi's ability to fund the schools until that magic "September 25th" in the Second Agreement that came out Friday, and also with the new lawsuits being brought. Where is all the money coming from for lawyers? Where is the money coming from for the Student Refund fund ($30 mil)? Banks are forbearing until the 25th - let's see what happens then. The writing would truly be on the wall if WASC put us on warning...
