Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Announced.

We have after much difficulty assessed with great confidence the low impact that reducing/removing our logistics services has. In combination with a contract based departmental and direct to business representative staff we should see qualitative profit improvements. Additionally with the reduction of special project, regional, district, and net support staff our oversight management expenses can also be reduced. Las but not least, with a refining of the fundamental staff necessary to operate a store, it's believed that as much as 35% can be saved there as well. As we look to optimize our profit we will continue to uncover financial detractors so that we can once again see healthy margins return to the organization.

I think if they're to the point of posting it they no longer care if they're fired.

I've s as I'd this before, stop posting this stuff, it's going to be discovered who's posting when a handful of folks get the info.

OK, so we are "financial detractors" now... How stupid. And why do I always have to find what's going on with my company on this board first. Oh, well, looking for job anyway.
