Im loosing my job in November after 15 years. Can I stop my purchase of Staples stock and contributing to my 401k during my remaining time at Staples?

Yes. but don't wait until you are eligible for another 401k plan.I did that and my Staples 401k continued to lose money. Open an account with an investment company and roll it over. I chose Vanguard. They are helpful in setting you up
