Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Tom and Paul are saying they don't want to destroy the great culture at RJ at the all hands meetings???

Are they both blind and stupid? Sorry Tom and Paul, that ship set sail back in April 2013. The family and friendly culture has been dead over a year now, but thanks for noticing it is not the same culture it use to be.

There are always people that will say things to try and provide a positive and upbeat environment at their own benefit. Extinguishing a situation to keep people from being afraid. There were many people in history that did this that would be considered leaders by some at the time depending on which side you were on. I think it went something like this, "We only need you all to go into this room for a shower and a little disinfectant. Don't be afraid, we don't want to make this a difficult environment for you." They then heard the gas "SSSSSSSSSSS."

Yes. They are losing some key app admin too. They are not just leaving for money either.

It is sad. It is not the same place it was. Just an IT sweat shop now. Get a few years in, they lay you off. I noticed at the IT meeting a goal was to get retention down to 10% (industry standard). For them to place that as a goal, they must be having a lot more than a 10% turnover.

Paul has to bring Tom in to try to quell unrest?

Clearly Tom and Paul have had a "this probably isn't ideal" conversation over a good game of tennis at the club.
