I wouldn't worry about showing your loyalty. Also, they are expecting and likely want, émigrés to leave. Cheaper for them. Do you need to get stuff off your desk? If so, I would go in and talk to them. Otherwise an email bye bye will suffice. There won't be anybody left to give a reference anyway. And you have a new job. Just move on and count yourself lucky for having found something.
Just email you quit. If you give 2 weeks they'll tell you not to bother.
