They new all along that what they were doing was skirting the law and did it so many times it was no longer skirting the law. And now another law suit filed against CCI for predatory lending practices.

there are muliple investigations underway that may well lead to indictments
Yes they knew and they don't care. It is that simple
No schedules being made, no positions filled, no IT upgrades or anything. Waiting for a sale or waiting for a closure?
I don't know if this industy can keep going either. After they shut down cci they will go after others.

Heald may be okay, and be bought. But how long can this for profit industry survive? I am glad to finally be out of the Corinthian death grip. No one I know at my campus ever wanted to be part of that company. If Heald can be Heald again, it might work. But not holding my breath. Looking for a job out of this field.
I'd like to go to jail. They get better pay than us at this point. I need a vacation. It will be a white collar crime, right? So I get a nicer type of jail?

How many bankers went to jail after the mortgage crisis brought the U.S. economy to its knees and into the deepest recession since the Great Depression? All those guys and gals who were securitizing toxic mortgages? Are they all sitting in jail? Nope. CCI's shenanigans are minimal by comparison. Should Jack and his co-conspirators go to jail? Arguably yes, but will they? I wouldn't bet on it.
