I remember reading about Borders (before they went chapter 11) how they were going to continue being an on-line company. Don't believe it. Don't drink the Staples Kool Aid and believe all the propaganda! Before Borders went under they were announcing store closings to "restructure" the company..well....we all know what happened with that one! Forget all the broken promises and leave as soon as you can! Staples is not going to look out or care about you or your family.

Staples will survive in some form or another. And to do so it will have to shed the vast majority of its retail stores. It will be a radically transformed company. The reality is that most of us working for Staples today won't be working for Staples in the future.
difference is those stores didn't have a profitable delivery division. they were retail focused companies. staples already has a good delivery business. until recently they were #2, now #3
borders & cc didn't have bank of america, wells fargo, or home depot as multi-million $ customers
