100 people is always a big deal - regardless of what kind of company we are talking about, UBS or not. What's important here is what location is being hit, how concentrated layoffs are, etc. If we are talking a person here and a person there, different geographies, different kinds of positions than I would say it's no big deal but here all people belong to the same group and it's likely that they are at the same location. I am with UBS but I am not interacting with PaineWebber so cannot provide any additional information on the layoff.
