Unless UoP gets some type of rein on classism, racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, and other forms of hate, UoP will continue to flounder. The problem is that much of this hate appears to come from management. What's worse is that workers appear to be complicit and will not come out about this. These forms of hate don't have to be name calling. In fact, the structural aspects of hatred are more destructive. Anyone who can do a critical analysis of the organization and its practices (to include cynical aspects of marketing, advertising, recruiting, and political lobbying) could easily observe these practices of exploitation and oppression.

As a for profit employee and graduate, I am sure YOU copied and pasted from Wikipedia and received a star and a smiley face for your efforts, right? Don't try and compare a vocational diploma with a university degree. EVERYONE knows that for profits are primarily for first generation college students and other ne'r do wells.
I almost forgot to include my sources (something that would be awesome if you could do as well):

Camden, buddy... You and I have a very different view of how the world works. I asked you for proof of ANY of your "isms" and still haven't seen it. I don't really see anything I wrote that could possibly be construed to mean that I agree with your assertion of racism at Apollo. Let me explain what I mean by evidence or proof. Let's use your school for example (Camden County College). According to the statistics provided by the state of New Jersey, your school has a three year graduation rate of 13.6%. That means that the VAST majority of students at the school YOU teach at do not graduate with a two-year degree within three years. Even if you factor in the transfer rates to bachelor programs at other schools, it's still only 30%. And black students are three times less likely to graduate than white students at Camden.
And if we look at the financials for your school, students received over 23 million dollars in Pell grants according to a story in USA Today. And your director of financial aid was even quoted in the story saying that students are sometimes reckless with the aid they get, as well as stating that the school has no control over how the students spend the funds. Add that to the 20+ million dollars in direct payments from the state and county and that makes up the majority of the school's budget. So, let me ask you... How do you feel about teaching at a school with a graduation rate that is even lower than the San Diego UoP campus? And one that would apparently fail to meet the very same standards that you advocate enforcing on UoP? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?? And does the disparity between graduation outcomes for white and black students mean that there is institutional racism on your campus?
@The unwashed masses, I guess you're not denying the racism at Apollo Group.
Shut up dumb n!gger! Don't attend, that simple! Problem solved! Quit complaining already. You are lucky to be in the US because other countries don't tolerate f@g$ and n!ggers being placed into positions of power due to affirmative action bs and forcing a politically correct agenda down everyone's throat.
You are a shill for the for profits and are so far off the mark. Everyone knows there are minimal standards at these kinds of schools and students graduate with a mountain of debt and they can't even find jobs or pay their loans back. Stop apologizing for the sham that is for profit schools. Trust me, they are 'really bad,' both in their outcomes and in their administration.
N!gger!
Most of the posters on this site work for this school and are tired of the lies and manipulation advanced by management. The behavior of people in positions of authority is repugnant and one day it will bury this joke of a school.
Dearest Camden Kid,
The "unwashed masses" remark was referring to the general arrogance of academia who assume that folks who work for a living just aren't smart enough to understand their greatness. My only other offense was to ask for proof of your claims.
Pointing to an anonymous post by someone who may or may not have ever even worked for UoP is pretty laughable. Do you also accept Wikipedia as an authoritative source?
If I were to make anonymous comments belittling the school you work for while claiming to represent them, would you accept that as gospel?
And do you believe that ONLY for-profit schools are deserving of oversight? How dependent on taxpayer dollars is the UC system in California, or any other publicly funded school?
Camden Kid! Keep the "Great Information" coming! You have exposed what is going on at both Apollo Education Group & UOPX!90% of their employees cannot handle the truth, for they are just as guilty for not speaking up to Managers & Directors for all the bad that is going on at UOPX. Leadership is about People. Managers are about things. There are way to many managers at Apollo & UOPX!!!!
I will burn a cross in all of your yards for insulting me.
@ "The unwashed masses" and Anonymous26779, you prove my point about various forms of hatred at Apollo Group and UoP.

You must be one dumb porch monkey Camden. Hope your synagogue burns down so you can go to concentration summer camp. While you are there learn to not be such a girly man. Oh, I almost forgot...damn the poor, not our fault those lowlifes took loans to buy this TP degree.
Then please, oh please, great master...
Why don't you share with us some of the obvious signs of sexism and anti-Semitism in UoP's marketing and advertising? And make sure to include evidence to backup your assertion that all of these systemic forms of hatred are driven by management.
Or do you not include yourself as "Anyone who can do a critical analysis of the organization"?
You continue to beat the same worn out drum, claiming that all of your wild accusations could be proven if just one poor soul had the courage to come forward. But out of 15,000 employees, with new people coming in and other people quitting, getting fired, or laid off every day, you still don't have a single "let's screw the vets/black people/poor people/women" or any other email, document, or other hard evidence to point to.
All you can give us is "Trust me, they're bad!!!!"
How well does that work in an academic paper in one of your classes??
