I called all of my students weekly last term and the results were no better than previous terms. I believe that Jack was forcing us to do this because the "retention" data would be his last ditch effort to make CCI look good in terms of outreach. He knows he could never hand over the REAL data that ED previously requested because it would expose the corruption of CCI. Unbelievable.

I picked up from previous posts that these type of phone calls used to be made by employees who have now been laid off. It's a way of saving money by reducing personnel. I might be wrong, but if anyone has any other information it would be greatly appreciated. At first I hated calling the students and had a very difficult time connecting with them and carrying on a conversation, perhaps due to culture and language differences. But after a while I lowered my expectations and just tried to let them know I cared and was available if they had any questions. I ended up with 40% of the students passing the class (D or above) which is the highest I have ever had.
