This is not a "sale". This is a school that is being forced to let someone acquire them. Whomever buys it will have a mess on their hands. Do you think the government will allow "business as usual". They have drawn a land in the sand. I know finding another job is no fun. Consider this a gift from the federal government. If you are laid off I wouldn't expect any package (yeah right). Then immediately go to the UE office and FILE.

Does anyone know what happens to vacation pay

I was let go from Everest last year. I was so traumatized by that place I still have nightmares. They gave me no reason and I had the highest E-Score on our campus. I liked the job before it got so bad. The fourth and most psychotic of the DOE was having an affair with the President. They lied about where they were going and were seemingly on drugs. They got married after they fired them a few days after me. The company made me hire a lawyer to collect my UE (they routinely fight all claims just to see if they win). Then they didn't show for the hearing.

My point??? Get out of this industry. It is dead in the water. I worked in it for 6 years. It was great when I started at a Culinary School then the other big co bought it and the downhill slide started. Everest was the bottom of the barrel. FIND A NEW CAREER. I know you guys aren't criminals so STOP working for a bunch of hoodlums!

I was working for WyoTech when CCi bought them out. The only person that left was the campus president. The only reason he left was he was part of the group that owned WyoTech. The rest of the buy out was so seamless the only thing that was different was the company name on our next paycheck. The last thing a new owner wants to do is disrupt the student's education. Over time things changed but the employees that wanted to stay were welcome to stay. By the way, the new campus president was promoted from within.

It is the last to go or absorbed. Servers have to run and data converted or integrated

The day of the sale they would keep everyone. Clearly management would be the first to go once the dust settles. Then they review everyone file and can many more. At the end of the day, they may keep a few people, and non of the of cool aid drinkers.
