The Babb Group:Real Help in Tough Situation

As a former PD and DOE of a struggling proprietary school, I must say that a lifeline is often hard to recognize when we are gasping for air. The Babb Educational Services group, founded by Dr.Dani Babb, is such ready help. I know firsthand that this person is a leader in our field, has an immense heart for her fellow teachers, and offers her services as a path forward in difficult times. I use these services and know many others that hold key positions in major universities because the Babb model and application services work. I've been where you're at (prepositions aside) and also know that distrust is a powerful snake--but don't let it hold you back.

"I feel so disgusted that these comments are coming from "teachers". Thanks for taking humanity to an all time low. I hope it makes you feel good about yourself to bash on someone who is more intelligent and successful than yourselves. Perhaps your scathing comments are a mirror of your own sick jealousy. You are completely disgusting and would never have the nerve to say these things to her face. Cowards!" This post pretty much tells us all we need to know about freak show Dani (seriously, look her up on YouTube and you'll see what I mean - she's hired to stand in people's doorways on Halloween) and her wretched crew. Hardly professional, Dani.

About higheredjobs... A lot of them are old and I am skeptical.

I'd keep an eye on Craigslist.

Samantha, I'm in the same situation. I am a single mom with two kids, age 4 and 6. Are there any reputable sources? How much time do we have before layoffs?

I am confused with all these posts. Where should we look for work if we lose our jobs? I don't care who finds me a job, but I need to feed my kids. Who has some good ideas?

Here is a great site for job leads. Too bad it gets so many hits from applicants that your CV never gets read.

What are other sites that you use for leads?

A Facebook page is asking Dani's customers to share their experiences in these threads. The initiator is saying how "it brings her to tears" that people are bashing her. Just be on the lookout for positive posts from her 'friends' in these threads. Heck, she probably will pay them all for sticking up for her scam business.

Tatiana - Who do you think you are fooling? You work for her company. Dani also gives you some of her teaching jobs. You are on other online teaching forums telling how she helps her "friends" in this way.

Those of you that can find new jobs on your own--- AWESOME! If you need help and some free tools-- we can contact The Babb Group. It's a tough market out there. Having some help is necessary for many of us. I can attest this is no scam. I have used the services and it helped my career. Ignore if you don't think it will, as I am vacationing in Europe this summer with my laptop! Thank you, Dr. Babb!

If she taught 4 courses at CCI (earlier post), then Outreach alone would have eaten up most of her time. Sounds fishy.

I teach for nearly 10 online schools (that I obtained without her glorious "services") and rarely have time to sleep...yet she is teaching at 50+? No doubt she has others teaching for her where she pays them a fraction of the pay). No way one person can do so many -- and maintain quality and the different requirements at each school. She sounds like a scammer herself.

Ha...i just saw the reviews for the landlord book she wrote. The same raving reviewer there is here on this website raving about her online teaching services. Yup two distinctly different areas yet two simply awesome reviews based on their 'experience'. Babb must hire the reviewers herself or maybe she is the alias behind the names. Really swift doctor. Really swift.

Looked up her name on YouTube - dozens and dozens of tv appearances. Mostly on Fox News (that should tell you something) and almost all as a real estate exert. What a shady character!

Wow, she is kinda like a dodo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhBLVVgaOJs (one of at least ten Fox News appearances where she's billed as a real estate expert).

This woman was on the Today show from her company, yet touting work at home jobs that had nothing to do with her business. All she did was spout jobs like customer support/answering service, personal assistants, and freelance writing. She promoted websites of these places (referral bonuses and paid by these web businesses to advertise on national television) Not one word of online teaching. Sounds like this money grubber has her hands in too many areas of 'expertise'. She looked like a dodo on tv with her wide open eyes.

From a professional shark (long-term admissions rep): "distrust is a powerful snake--but don't let it hold you back" is code for "don't think about whether any of this makes sense, just be emotional and trust, trust, trust." Or, in salesman terms "STFU and give me your money!"

Wow, this woman is all over the place! She wrote a book called The Accidental Landlord. Look up the reviews on Amazon if you think she's legit. They are pretty uniformly bad, with a few glowing 5 star reviews, including some from the same people writing glowing reviews of her recruiting business here today. One (real) reviewer gave the book one star and said it was basically an advertisement for something called the LPA. Guess who one of the 5-star reviewers was? President of the LPA. Other 5-star reviewers have, as is typical, only one review posted. Please! What an obvious scam artist!

Hah! Lady, we work at CCi. You're trying to scam the scammers here. We know ALL the tricks: "Just sign and you'll improve your life. Don't think about it, just do it!" "We're so warm and caring and will be your friend as well as your recruiting agent!" "So MANY people have been helped by this service - it has changed their lives!!" Yeah, right.

It seems very crass to offer "job services" to those you claim are your co-workers. I looked at this website and the first thing you see are CV Reviews for $39.99. It is in very poor taste to try to scam those who are in need and worried.
