Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Look at how colleges are even reported on Stock Exchange....weird

• So how interesting is this…On this site when you search universities: Corinthian, CEC, ITT, you get (example) “Career Education Corp. (Specialty Retailers & Services - Ticker: CECO)But when you search say University of….you get: “(Higher education, colleges and universities. - Ticker: Educational institution. No ticker. Not Listed.) U of P is in that category, Lincoln is in that category….but they are on the government’s list of failures. Question: Does how they are listed on NASDQ make a difference in their filings? Please excuse my English translation. I am curious. Why “specialty reatilers & services????” Isn’t that odd?

Only U of P is wrong. Apollo Group is also listed as "specialty retailers." If these colleges are legit, then why go that route? Is there some sort of tax break, for not listing under "higher education?" Just another example of how our industry is lying and cheating. They are all bad! This industry needs to be cleaned up. It's sad that there are good people still working, but if only for another short while.

Not odd. Your search is wrong. Uop is no the name of the parent. You need to search for Apollo group.
